Emilia - 6 days old

2400gm (only 180 bellow birth weight)
Finally has all tubes removed except for her annoying feed tube. (That goes tomorrow)
Still wasn't allowed to pick her up.
Now the iv and antibiotics are out and stopped she is so much more alert (and grumpy) (see the frown in the photo)
We heard her cry for the first time today.
Eyes were open and very observant, they seem dark but I'm sure there is some light colour showing through?? Time will tell.
Hopefully they have started bottle feeding her tomorrow. Then hopefully we can bring her home Wednesday "ish"
All in all another fantastic daddy day

Check out that baby frown!!!
Almost a cheeky smile there.

1 week tomorrow

Xxxx Chris and Tim

  2. Adorable! Reminds me of my sister's kids - both were healthy preemies weighing around 5 lbs (approx. 2200g) and such spunky kids now at 4.5 years old and 10.5 months old. Congrats again!
